Our clients typically manage large buildings, laboratories, or industrial sites, including federal and state/local governments, universities, and hospital and pharmaceutical facilities. We also specialize in damage assessment and emergency response. With over 25 years of experience in Raleigh, NC, Atlas is a certified North Carolina Small Business Enterprise and holds a federal GSA on-call consulting contract.

OUR STORY

Founded in 1996, Atlas Engineering began by providing structural and civil design services in central North Carolina. As we grew, we expanded our expertise to include roof design and building envelope services, allowing us to serve a broader range of clients, including universities, state and local governments, and industrial sectors. Over the past decade, our focus has increasingly shifted towards federal agencies, school systems, laboratories, and pharmaceutical facilities. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a stellar reputation, with approximately 90% of our projects coming from repeat clients and referrals.

OUR EXPERTISE

The Atlas Engineering staff includes both registered Professional Engineers (PE) and Registered Roof Consultants (RRC), all of whom specialize in various aspects of the overall building system. Our expertise includes:

Each project is personally overseen by one of our principal owners, ensuring that the engineer you meet at the beginning remains your primary contact throughout the project. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We believe that businesses should positively impact the communities they serve. Our expertise in infrastructure allows us to play a crucial role during public emergencies when local infrastructure is compromised. Many of our engineers volunteer as urban search and rescue (US&R) engineers for both state and federal (FEMA) US&R teams. Additionally, we provide training for state and local emergency services in collapse rescue operations. From coastal hurricanes to earthquakes and construction disasters, our engineers have delivered essential life-saving knowledge and support to North Carolina and beyond.
